Hi, my name is Perla Abi Kheirs and I am a research associate at the Al-Sady Lab. I have a BS in Biology from the American University of Beirut which helped foster an interest in genetic and molecular research. Because of this, I decided to pursue a Master’s in Biotechnology from the University of San Francisco where I was able to conduct two research projects - one on the CRISPR knockout of a p53-associated gene, NOXA, & it's effect on apoptosis and the other exploring drug inhibition of PDPK1 on cellular senescence. Apart from biological research, I enjoy cycling & trying out new brunch spots in the city with friends.
